Nipple Reduction FAQ - What scarring is there following a nipple reduction?

What scarring is there following a nipple reduction procedure? Well you've got to remember everyone's body is different. Different skins scar differently, particularly dark skin tends to scar slightly worse than lighter skin. However with a nipple reduction procedure, we use absorbable stitches. There is very minimal scarring and the scarring is hidden on the underside of the nipple, in the fold where the nipple meets the areola. So in most cases the scarring, when it's settled down and gone pale, should be barely discernible. And the vast majority cases, most people looking at your nipples wouldn't realise that you had any surgery on them.
