For skin care. I've changed some things. I still use the Clinique soap, they have three bars of soap and then they have another bar of soap that used to be a light blue bar of soap and now it's like a white bar of soap and it's um it's the acne bar and then even though I don't get acne I still use the acne bar, I feel like it's gentle and it does a good job of cleaning. I'm using toner again I used to use toner and I used to get really good results with toner I really liked using toner and I used it for a long time and then I stopped using it and then um.. I started using it again and so.. The toner that I use I got it at the dermatologist's office because I do in there and get facials and I still do get facials I get them two to three times a year and they're..it's from a pharmaceutical esthetician at a dermatologist's office so she um uses it's not like a relaxation facial or anything like that it is a um facial that is designed to clean out the pores um so it's extractions is the procedure is uh extracting from pores. It's a painful procedure but um, I've been getting facials for years and just, I know it's going to be painful, I know what it does and so, it's fine, like I.. I'm fine with it. I know that the esthetician knows what she's doing and.. I had this other esthe.. like.. at that doctor's office I used to go and the esthetician there like she was good you know I mean she did a good job um but now there's another esthetician and I'm actually glad because for a couple of reasons and one reason was..usually when I go get a facial and the same when I get a massage I just want to go into a trance I just..I don't want to talk I don't..like..I'm there but I'm not there but I'm there, like I'm very..like I get really in tune with what is happening what procedure I'm experiencing and it relaxes me and that's what I like so um I don't like to chit chat with the esthetician I will but I prefer not to so..and the esthetician that they used to have before she was just like a chit chatter and um it's fine you know she would do a good job. She was nice but then she started chit chatting and asking me questions and then when she found out that my boyfriend was like older than me..I, I very much noticed, and she was not as friendly to me like I don't understand what that has to do with her. As if there is something wrong with me having a boyfriend that's older than me. But I just you know, she would do a good job so I would go to her anyway and then when they replaced her.. there's this new girl and uh, she's really nice she does an excellent job and also what she does differently for me is she uses um salicylic acid at the end of the facial. So when she is done with the extractions she uses um a 10% solution of salicylic acid and that stuff is amazing. I used to have a little spot right here on my cheek and it was like, it would get kind of bigger with you know if I would have some sun exposure and it would get smaller and lighter in the winter months you know with less sun exposure and um I had a dermatologist look at it I had it for years. Just like a little spot that I had and um I didn't like it and I was actually going to go in to the dermatologist and have him remove it however it is he decided to remove it 'cause I just didn't want it there anymore and um so I went in with this new esthetician, she does the 10% salicylic acid solution, she like brushed it onto my face, turned on a fan, it gets hot on the face and then it stays on the face and then after that first time of having that 10% salicylic acid solution put on my face the spot just completely disappeared, just not even a sign of it, it wasn't even like faded or like it used to be there, nothing. It completely and totally disappeared. I've had the 10% solution done twice because I have been to her twice. Then she recommended toner and I told her "oh you know, I don't..I stopped using toner". It's been years since I've used you know toner regularly and..so she recommended some toner and then I didn't um, I didn't purchase it the first time. She gave me a brochure and then um I looked up the product and then the next time, 'cause the second time that I went to her I did, I went ahead and got the toner and its from ZO Medical and it's um called Cebatrol, Cebatrol and I'm thinking like 'cebum control'. Anyway, it's called Cebatrol and um it has salicylic acid and it's 2% salicylic acid, it's not prescription, it's over the counter but I, I get it at the doctor's office um you know he's got all kinds of different like, he does..removed things from skin and then he does like laser, and peels and I think he's also a plastic surgeon so he has these lines of skin care products and this is the toner that was recommended for me and after looking it up and going in the second time I decided to get it. It's the best toner ever. Such a completely different level of toner. It comes with these little pads. It comes in this container and the container is dry and then it has the um, the fluid here and then I open it, pour it in it soaks into the pads and then I take a pad and I scrub it on my face and the pads already have like kind of a scrubbing sort of feel to it, they're like... it feels like a scrub and then um it has kind of a um like an intense feeling, I don't know I don't want to say a burning feeling but.. it definitely feels like it is going into the skin and the feeling lasts for several minutes and then um it has 2% salicylic acid, it has I believe triclosan and then it also has um, an emollient so I would think, 'oh after a toner I would need to use a moisturizer', and actually after I use this, even with the feeling, like how it feels going onto the face it feels like 'oh, you know I am definitely going to need a moisturizer' but I don't because it already has an emollient in it. So it's really neat. It cannot be used every day it has to be used every other day. A couple of days in between use and this has been amazing for my pores, I've been looking at my pores under magnification, like with like light and magnification and just like looking at them and I notice um, huge improvement in like the way they look and like how clean they are. They are staying really clean and um I'm looking particularly in this area. These are like oil control pads even though I have..I would say I have like normal to dry skin um, but when my pores are open and flowing and they are clean I have like, just like normal skin because the oiliest part tends to be here, and then the oils are released and it kind of goes out into the face when the oils, when the pores are somewhat clogged and they need to be cleaned out then these areas tend to be dryer. So what I am doing is I am keeping these pores open so that have the flow of oils and cebum you know and that way my skin is balanced. I'm so impressed with this, and it comes with 60 pads it was $55 when I bought it I thought, "okay I'll try it, she's recommending it and I do need a toner so I'll just get this toner, looks like a good toner", and then I was thinking of looking around and maybe getting another toner but I'm actually going to repurchase this, I'm definitely repurchasing this. So that is what I am using for toner it's ZO Medical and it's called Cebatrol. I do believe it can be purchased online and um then, if there's like a dermatologist I guess..I don't know it it's available like in spas or anything yet because usually dermatologists, their lines, are usually exclusive and then after their done with the lines or they want to move new skin care lines in then those skin care lines tend to go into spas. And then the moisturizer that I am using um, I am continuing to use the Clinique um gel moisturizer. Which is the yellow moisturizer but it's the gel one. Um I do have a choice of oils that I use on my face as well. I was familiar with the Clinique Moisture Surge but now they have a Moisture Surge Intense and like this last time that Clinique had gift time I ended up getting four gift times and uh you know like a gift time with each purchase and..'cause I had like stuff I that I was purchasing for myself and then gifts that I sent off um so I ended up with a lot of this here is the Moisture Surge Intense and this is like the little gift time you know trial size. This is so good it's so long lasting and like I'll put it on my face again under magnification and just like watch it go on and then look at my face and then check. It just stays amazing, this stuff is amazing. So, I'm going to use up all these little jars and then go in and purchase a larger one and I am now going to also use an addition to this one, the Moisture Surge Intense. This might even become the primary thing that I use. For sun block I use the Super City Block SPF 40 from Clinique and this is the titanium dioxide based sun block and it's also um, there's a slight tint to it as well I tend to mix it in with the moisturizer and um if I'm going to use foundation then I'll mix it with foundation. I usually don't take it and put it directly onto my face I tend to moisturize my face first and then take a little bit more of the moisturizer and mix the sun block in and then distribute it. Facial skin care also is facial and neck skin care. I actually kind of all the way down, like the sun block I'll use more than just on my face and neck I'll use it on like anywhere else I need to use it. I usually use lip balm. I use a Now Solutions peppermint1 lip balm it's like very similar to the Burt Bees peppermint and I really like that for1 my lips. I tend to use stuff that has like some peppermint oil in it usually because1 I like that feeling, it has like a menthol feeling to it. And then a family member told1 me about the Clinique All About Lips and she said "yeah it's like a lip treatment" and1 she told me how she uses it and she'll use it you know for a couple of weeks at a time1 and it helps to clear away sun damage and it helps to hydrate the lips and just..I feel1 like it almost plumps my lips. I'll put it on right now. It doesn't have any flavor to1 it and um it doesn't feel like lip balm at all. I use just a tiny bit. I make sure to1 get it all over my lips. And it doesn't matter, my lips could feel dry. It clears away if1 there's any flaking any dry skin on the lips, it doesn't make my lips feel sensitive or1 anything like that and I feel like it's just like this magical thing that it does to my1 mouth. It's amazing! Clinique All About Lips. So now I'm using this and for right now just1 because I just started using it I'm using it everyday I'm probably going to do that1 for a couple of weeks and then I'll use it maybe like once a week or something. Um, it's1 improving the all around appearance of my lips and it's...like it's doing it already.1 It doesn't have color or anything to it it's just like a little cream. Glad it was recommended1 to me I don't know if I would have purchased it otherwise. Something that I will periodically1 purchase and use. I still use lip balm, continue to use it and of course for hydration for1 skin I drink water, I drink it regularly. I drink water throughout the day so that I'm1 um hydrated and feel good and so I think that's really important for skin as well. I'm using1 a little brush, a little facial brush from Dermalogica and that little, it's like this1 little grey brush with white bristles and um I love the bristles, the quality of the1 bristles. I go in and I brush like, the sides of my nose the top I go in and kind of brush1 my face and I can actually feel it going into my pores and cleaning my pores and sometimes1 after, um afterward I can kind of feel my pores are really clean. One time I brushed1 a little bit too long on one side and um it actually like caused a little bit of bleeding1 in my pores even though the bristles are really pointy and soft, and really like thin bristles.1 I just kind of over did it one time I remember and I was like, "wow, it really is going into1 my pores and you know I need to find that happy medium for cleansing my face", which1 I did and I really enjoy it. So Clinique bar with the Dermalogica facial brush, then the1 toner that I'm using is ZO Medical Cebatrol. And then for moisturizer I'm using the Clinique1 gel moisturizer and then also the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense and the Moisture Surge1 has..is like a pink gel and the Intense is like a white sort of..gel..like a creamy gel.1 And then for my lips I'm using All About Lips in addition to the lip balms. And..facials.1 I'm get facials 2 to 3 times a year. I'm still doing that um, and then in the facials I'm1 getting uh, twice now a 10% um, salicylic acid solution um and I've only had that twice1 and again that is what got rid of the little spot that I had here that I was thinking I1 would have to have it surgically removed or it would have to be lasered..I wasn't sure..I1 mean how the doctor would do it, but he didn't have to do anything 'cause I believe it was1 the 10% salicylic acid solution that is just part of..it wasn't like a special treatment1 I had it was just something that she does in the facials. The kind of facials I get1 are called acne facials, they involve extractions and it's done by a pharmaceutical esthetician1 at a dermatologist's office. I definitely stepped it up with the um Cebatrol and the1 Moisture Surge Intense and then also for my lips, All About Lips. Everything else is pretty1 much the same you know, the soaps and everything. Just..you know being hydrated and again not1 drinking too much water but making sure that I don't dehydrate and just having good levels1 of you know water in my body, just, you know, daily.
