Wedding Skin Care Regimen for 6 to 3 Months Prior [DermTV Epi #97]
Today I'll tell brides-to-be what they can be doing to have perfect skin in the 3-6 month period before their special day. In addition to continuing laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal and really perfecting their complexion, there are three other issues that really need to be gone after. One is any acne breakouts, the other is red spots or broken capillaries on the face, and lastly any brown spots on the face. For acne blemishes, there are many over-the-counter salicylic acid products and benzyl peroxide products which, when applied directly to pimples, will help make them go away faster and help prevent them. Also, it's time to start monthly facials. If that doesn't do it, and if that doesn't get rid of the acne completely, then maybe it's time to see your dermatologist. For those red spots on the face, broken capillaries, spider veins, can you believe they go away in a zap of a laser, painless, immediate, no downtime, all those red spots can be taken care of instantly with a laser treatment at your dermatologist. And lastly, for brown spots, whether they're sunspots or perhaps just dark stains from where somebody inadvertently picked a pimple, they are treated with topical bleaches. If topical bleaches don't take care of them, then again a visit to your dermatologist where glycolic treatments can be done or laser treatments which will make them go away for sure. In the next two episodes, we'll tell you what else you can be doing to ensure that you have picture-perfect skin as we get even closer to your wedding day. Please join me again at DermTV.com.
