When the skins pores become clogged with sebum, pimples can form. Talk to your doctor if your acne is serious or you're unable to control it. Apply an ice cube to the pimple, and hold it there for a couple of minutes. Repeat on and off for about 10 minutes. Try icing it about 3 times a day, but don't put anything else on the pimple. The ice water itself is drying the top of the blemish, while the intense cold is battling the bacteria. Whatever you do, don't squeeze or pick the pimple, that's a sure way to cause scarring. Keeping your hands off your face as much as possible, will also help clear up the pimple, and avoid future breakouts. If the pimple has come to a head, and it looks ready to pop, you can take a tissue or a gauze pad, and gently push down against the pimple.
