Caring for Skin oes Smiling Cause Wrinkles?

Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon & Cosmetics, and I'm going to talk to you a little bit about how smiling, and facial expressions, can cause wrinkles. Just like any repetitive motion after time, if you smile for me, you can see how you do get an indentation along the lines, and along the mouth there, which are smile lines, and basically, on your repetitive motion over time, is going to basically stress that collagen, and elastin, and if you're not taking proper care of your skin, getting on a good regimen of cleanser, treatment serum, and moisturizer, your collagen and elastin can break down, and that repetitive motion basically, helps speed up that factor, and causes your collagen and elastin to break into fine lines and wrinkles, so especially around the eyes, that's always your first place on the face, where you start to see your first signs of aging, and usually that's your expression lines, if you smile again, from just smiling, and the lifting of that muscle, she's got like little fine lines around the eye. That's because the skin around the eyes is the thinnest, and most delicate skin on your whole body, so you can really prevent expression lines from forming, just by getting on a real good skin care regimen. That's why some people like to do Botox, as well, because that helps to kind of freeze the muscles, so when you do make expression lines, it relaxes them, and it doesn't leave a permanent indentation, so in short, yes, smiling does eventually cause wrinkles.
