I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist, at Ulta Salon & Cosmetics, and I'm going to talk to you a little bit about some home remedies, to get rid of blackheads. Basically, what a blackhead is, is when you have dirt, oil, and debris, clogged within a pore, and it becomes oxidized, and turns black, so one thing you can do, is to help to keep your pores really nice and clean, so be on a good cleansing regimen. Make sure you're using a facial cleanser, that's appropriate for your skin, and also exfoliating on a daily basis. Using an exfoliant with salicylic acid in it, is really great for removing pore plugs as well. Another thing that you can do, is either take a really hot shower, or if you have a facial steamer, you can sit with your face over the steam, for about 5-10 minutes, whatever your comfort level is. Less time definitely, if you have a more sensitive skin, and basically what that's going to do, is it's going to bring all of the clogging to the surface, and it's just going to make it really easy for you to take your fingers, and basically kind of, do a little rolling motion, so what you want to do, is you want to actually take your fingers, basically roll the skin, and then just kind of do a wiggle motion. You never want to use your nails, and actually rip any skin off, because that's going to leave a scar, so if you just take your fingers, and kind of wiggle, after a good steaming, those blackheads are going to just pop right out of the skin, so those are some home remedies, of things that you can do, to help to remove blackheads.
