One of the things that you want to make sure that you do is prevent acne scars from forming in the first place. You never want to pick at a blemish or pick at a scab and then go out into the sun without protection. Basically that's going to cause that area to hyperpigment and leave a scar which is going to be very difficult to get rid of. However they do have products on the market that you can use to get rid of acne scars without surgery. This is a lightening gel. It's two percent hydroquionone. Hydroquionone is an ingredient that helps lighten discolorations. They also inhibits pigments from forming within the follicle. So it's going to stop those melanocytes from producing melanin. But when you use this you want to make sure that you do follow up with a sunscreen and give yourself that added extra protection. So all you would do is just take a little bit of this and target it to any areas of concern. Just pat it on any scars, she obviously doesn't have any but you can just pat it on that area, let it penetrate and then follow up with a moisturizer and a sunscreen. Another thing that you want to make sure that you do is use a really good exfoliant. Something that has a smooth grain to it. That's just going to help to basically slough off those dead and damaged skin cells. And reveal healthier newer skin underneath.
