Denver Plastic Surgeon's CO2 Laser Resurfacing Skin Care Treatment and Recovery
>>NIC ell, I've actually wanted to do this for a long time. I think it has a good mix between recovery and benefit. That's why I bought the laser for Colorado Plastic Surgery. Been wanting to try it. Have the opportunity now to do it and we just took pictures and I have some small acne scarring on my nose, on my cheeks and a little bit on my forehead. I really like the benefits of the CO2 laser for softening those and just rejuvenating the skin overall. I'm looking forward to it and want to get a taste of my own medicine here. Want to try it for those reasons. >> NURS mooth a light layer on. >> NIC think with the settings we are going to use it will be about six days for the redness to have really mostly faded. By this time next week I should be really mostly good. >> AESTHETICIA an you feel it? >> NIC little bit. >>NIC kay. Probably about two hours after having this laser peel. Washed my face and there were a few areas of pinpoint bleeding. Pain, other than during the procedure, which had some high points, particularly around the eye and the mouth. Outside of that maybe a pain level of two or something like that at the worst, particularly while washing my face. Going to pot some ointment on, moisturize my face and be done for the night. Not too bad. It's about ten o'clock in the morning. Just twelve hours, a little over twelve hours, after treatment. Pretty red. Can see the red line. Face feels mostly sun burnt and I do feel swollen. Overall not too bad. Got up during the middle of the night and put some of this ointment on. Feels pretty good to put this stuff on. Okay. I'm one day out from the CO2 fractionated laser peel on my face. It's Saturday. Actually been busy today. Took my daughter to her soccer game and went by my office to pick up some equipment. But mostly stayed out of the sun. Put a good coat of sunscreen on for during the day. Just took a shower, moisturized with the serum skin medica product that apparently has growth factors and other restorative ointments. Both of which feel really refreshing, really good. Not too bad. I'm actually going to go next door to a dinner party with a couple neighborhood friends and I will no question look a little red, no question something's been done. Not too bad. But hopefully I can put up with the social inconvenience to have a good night out with friends. >> NIC t's day three. I'm getting ready to shave. Haven't shaved yet, but I've got to go to work today. Yesterday, day two, took my daughter to her hockey game in the morning. Did feel a bit sun burnt. Had a few comments about looking a bit sunburnt. But comfort wise, not bad at all. Last night was Halloween and I was able to give out candy without anyone asking what my costume was. So, no problems there. Feels pretty comfortable. I can tell that I am going to start flaking today. I can see a little bit in the forehead. Looks like it's going to flake. I haven't put on my moisturizer just yet. Alright, shaving is not to bad. Just washed up. Shaved. Really no discomfort, no problems shaving. Was a little bit worried about that. But it turned out very well and I don't think it looks too bad. Does look like I've had a sunburn and peeled some, but no discomfort. Going to put some moisturizer on and get going. >> NIC y assessment is, even with the fairly deep fractional CO2 resurfacing bring consistent results where certainly by day six you're able to get back to normal social and normal business activity with a little light foundation makeup. Now I don't normally wear makeup and I'm not wearing makeup now on day six. Really I think I look pretty normal. It's Day six for me. So far I think recovery has been probably easier than I thought. Not very painful. Mostly dryness. Being very careful with the moisturizer. For the first few days being very careful about being in the sun, not being in the sun. I'm very pleased so far with the early results. It will be interesting to see and watch and follow for tightening in the skin, particularly underneath the eyes and where I do have some fine wrinkles as the weeks go by.
