What causes Rosacea?

There are several causes. The most common cause of rosacea has to do with genetics. Fair skin, blue-eyed people of Celtic origin are much more likely to have rosacea than others. Hormonal surges are also to blame. Boys going through puberty and women in menopause can develop rosacea out of the blue. Other causes include alcoholism, vitamin B deficiencies and skin mites. While there is not much you can do about being fair skinned or going through hormonal changes, you can stop the progression of rosacea with proper skin care.
