A blackhead is an abnormal blockage of a pore. It is produced by a lot of dead cells that accumulate at the center of the pore, and it turns black because it gets oxidized. Think of an appl hen it's white, you cut it in half, it's exposed to the environment and it turns it brown. Exactly what happens here! A blackhead is not from dirt, it's from oxidation.
